New Q&A with yours trulyThursday, September 18, 2008The good folks at Reuters were kind enough to invite me for a Q&A. Not sure why, but this particular one has already been picked up by yahoo, aol, msnbc, and nydailynews.com. Why? Could it be because I came clean about how I REALLY wound up in NY? posted by Alafair Burke at 2:51 PM 5 Comments:Previous Posts

So why does your dad advise on more white space? I usually feel a little cheated if there's lots of white space on the page.
I tend to feel a little lost when I don't see enough paragraphs.
Take Steven Pressfield's novels, wonderful though they are can be quite a chore with those long sentences and large paragraphs. It easily feels like I'm reading a scholarly journal instead of a story.
Do you ever miss being a District Attorney?
No,
The answer is no. More seriously, I do miss the environment and certainly miss my friends, but a lot of it was "hurry up and wait." I have much more control over my own work now (and can write!).
I promise you that Pamala didn't put me up to my question! (I read your Barnaby Jones story...pretty good)...I was geniunely curious as to whether you miss being in that type of high pressure job....thanks for answering!
