Happy Halloween!

Friday, October 31, 2008

I love, love, love Halloween. For the last couple of years, my Halloween tradition has been to dress Duffer up and walk around the village so revelers can play with him and tell him how cute he is (he likes that).

Alas, no trick or treating with the Duffer tonight for me. I'm leaving for the Delaware Book Festival. The panel tomorrow with Tess Gerritsen and Mary Jane Clark will more than make up for it, but what about the Duff? The husband refuses to dress him up in my absence. It's a shame, because isn't he a cutey pie in his Batman outfit?

I forgot to ask you how your appearance was with Tess Gerritsen. I'm reading my first of her books (Harvest) and enjoying it. I also saw where you're going to be on a panel with Linda Fairstein, moderated by Jane Cleland. I just learned about Jane - she reads my blog, too cool - and I've read Linda for years. That would be awesome to see the three of you! This summer Linda had a contest asking what books her fans thought Alex would take to the beach...I said Alex would take Ellie. I figured since I like to read about places I know (a la Koryta), she'd like that, too. Anyway...I didn't win. Everyone seemed to think she'd take Jack Reacher.
