Happy Birthday to Me!Thursday, October 16, 2008I'm big big big into birthdays, especially mine! To celebrate I watched this classic scene from my favorite eighties high school movie, Sixteen Candles. I wish I could stay home and watch the entire thing up to the moment that she gets cake on the table from that dreamy Jake Ryan (cue Thompson Twins), but I'll be at Hofstra all day. And just so you can have the Birthday song in your head all day long, on behalf of moi, here's the real thing. (Okay, sort of the real thing. Paul solo, but at least pre-Heather Mills.) posted by Alafair Burke at 5:14 AM 6 Comments:Previous Posts

happy birthday alafair.
Happy happy birthday to you! :)
Happy Birthday, Alafair...yeah, I've seen 16 Candles...what about 16 times! ....and even though I'm a child of the 80's, I've never seen Pretty in Pink!....blasphemy, I tell you... (how do you spell blasphemy, teach?)
Thanks you guys. And, No, you have to see Pretty in Pink. No Sixteen Candles, I must say, but Molly Ringwald will always be Andie to me.
Happy Birthday Alafair,
I'm finally checking out your blog. My father is visiting and asked me -what's a blog. He's a mystery reader so I thought I'd show him yours...
