Blog Michael Connelly/ George Pelecanos signing Saturday, May 30, 2009 This weekend is BEA, BookExpo America, the largest publishing event in North America. One upside to 212 (my next book) having a February publication date is that I didn't have to do any work for BEA. Better yet, some of my favorite writer friends who are not in the same boat were in town for the big event. Last night was a joint Michael Connelly/ George Pelecanos signing. The hard decision now is which book to read first. Two talented and tested writers and good, solid people. Fun night. Here are my fan girl pictures. (Added bonus: meeting National Book Award finalist Patricia Smith!) Next Up are the girlfriends: Drinks tonight with Theresa Schwegel and Megan Abbott. Dinner Monday with Lisa Unger.
