New York Public Library panel on January 14Tuesday, January 13, 2009
On Tuesday, January 14, I'll have the pleasure of serving on a panel with Linda Fairstein (oodles of respect for her!) and Wendy Corsi Staub. The panel is called "Scaring Women: Creating Nail-Biting Tension in Women's Suspense," and will be moderated by Jane Cleland. Count on me to challenge the notion that there should even be a sub-genre of book labeled Women's Suspense. I posted by Alafair Burke at 9:46 AM 4 Comments:Previous Posts

I'd love to make the drive for that one, Alafair, but alas, I can't. :( Please say 'hi' to Linda and Jane for me.
And by the way, I don't recognize a sub-genre of women's suspense. You all write crime fiction as far as I'm concerned; that's what the tags on my blog say!
Have fun!
Well, was it totally wonderful? Are you going to tell us about it? ;) Hope you had a great time!
Now..see that's why I want to live in New York instead of South Dakota...can you all come out to Little House on the Prairie and do a panel?
You two crack me up. The panel was one of the best I've been on recently. Jane Cleland was a terrific moderator - very organized with good follow up. I hadn't met Wendy before but was very impressed. She writes multiple books a year in different genres (suspense, chick lit, young adult...). And I have such tremendous admiration for Linda. Samantha Kincaid might not have existed but for her.
